Understanding the oscillation between Material and Heavenly states
Through our lives, we are rhythmically going through Material and Heavenly, Yin and Yang, or Negative and Positive.
There are times where Eternal Truth shines through, and we do not need to learn — we are perfect, and on the Flow. Then, it always breaks, and the Material or Negative comes in.
Negative thoughts, which are born and die in Nature, they come in, and we gaze them with horrified eyes, but there is nothing to do. This is the rhythm of growth.
The Material or Negative phase is where growth happens. It's where our comfortable ideas break down, where we face challenges.
This is not a problem. It's necessary. Without the Material phase, there is no evolution, no new understanding.
"The need to go through the imperfect aspect of Life, the growth and not being there yet... this is inevitable."
The Heavenly or Positive phase is flow state. Clarity. Effortless action. We feel aligned with truth.
This too is temporary. Clinging to it creates suffering. The wise person enjoys it while knowing it will pass.
"Eternal Truth shines through, and we are perfect, and on the Flow."
Modern culture tells us to "stay positive" and maintain constant optimism. This creates a problem: when the Material phase inevitably arrives, we think we've failed.
Being overly positive about your current situation means denying the natural rhythm. Growth is painful — it kills your current ideas and ideals. If you're only positive, you cannot change.
"We cannot find it by one positive idea, but by constant change from one extreme to another."
